What can Linux do for me?

One question that would probably take longer to answer than it would to watch grass to grow. The questions that should be asked here is "What can't I do with Linux?" When it comes to Linux there is not to much you cant do. With the popularity of Linux growing as rapid as it is not only is it opening doors to new possibilities but also giving a variety of doors to open. Graphics, developing, multimedia, and building servers are just a few topics many would say Linux excels at. The reality of it though is that Linux is great all around. Another good question to ask here is "What do I want to do?" If most of your experiences have been around a Mac or Windows platform have been mainly doing simply task then you, more than likely, have been using common communication, word processing, web browser software. Under the comparison list you will find the various applications on Linux that someone might use under Windows or Macs.
